Job Description
Urban Air Adventure Parks is the leading indoor adventure park and a pioneer in the location-based entertainment industry. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Urban Air has revolutionized the entertainment landscape by creating dynamic, indoor adventure parks that offer a variety of attractions for families and individuals seeking thrilling and fun experiences. As the largest operator of adventure parks worldwide, Urban Air is committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where guests of all ages can challenge themselves, bond with family and friends, and create lasting memories. The company’s mission is centered around inspiring kids to "aim higher" and accomplish things they never thought possible, all while having a great time in a vibrant and supportive atmosphere.
Urban Air North Fort Worth is currently seeking an Assistant General Manager to join their dynamic team. This full-time leadership role is integral to the park's success, offering an exceptional opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to contribute to strategic initiatives and oversee daily operations. The Assistant General Manager will drive the culture of "Activating Awesome" by motivating staff, promoting accountability, and ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction across all facets of the park including entertainment, food and beverage, attractions, and property maintenance.
The role places a strong emphasis on cultivating a high-performing team environment where exceptional customer service is the norm. The Assistant General Manager will actively participate in all aspects of staffing including hiring, retention, training, coaching, and discipline, while developing future leaders within the organization. Scheduling and staffing management are critical components, as the ideal candidate will be responsible for aligning staff coverage with business needs to maximize customer experience and operational efficiency.
Leading by example, the Assistant General Manager must demonstrate an energetic, positive attitude and maintain professional grooming and conduct. They will be expected to implement employee recognition and incentive programs to boost morale and foster a motivated workforce. Additionally, the role includes accountability for financial controls including inventory management and expense oversight.
Ensuring compliance with Urban Air’s operating standards and safety protocols is paramount. The Manager will regularly perform property inspections and maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment for both guests and staff. Given the nature of the entertainment industry, adaptability and flexibility are crucial, as is the willingness to work diverse shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
The ideal candidate will come from a background rich in hospitality experience such as theme parks, family entertainment centers, hotels, resorts, casinos, or restaurants and demonstrate at least three years in supervisory or management roles. Strong communication skills, computer proficiency particularly in Microsoft Office, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion are essential for success in this position.
Urban Air North Fort Worth is dedicated not only to the entertainment experience but also to providing equal employment opportunities and fostering an inclusive workplace culture. Joining Urban Air means becoming part of a team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of guests and employees alike. If you are professional, self-motivated, energetic, and ready to lead a team to deliver exceptional experiences, this role offers a rewarding career path in a market-leading company.
