Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree in hospitality, accounting or business
  • 2+ years hotel experience in operations, food and beverage or administrative
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • effective communication skills with employees, guests and supervisors
  • ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • detail oriented and organized
  • ability to solve practical problems
  • maintain strict confidentiality
  • ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • physically able to stand, walk, use hands, talk and hear
  • occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • obtain ServSafe and RAMP certificates upon hiring

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years hotel experience in operations, food and beverage or administrative (Marriott experience a plus)
  • bachelor’s degree in hospitality, accounting or business
  • ability to read and speak English
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • detail oriented
  • outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • ability to anticipate and solve problems
  • ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • previous experience required
  • ServSafe and RAMP certificates (must be obtained upon hiring)

Job Duties

  • maintain guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel
  • respond personally to guests' needs
  • ensure hotel staff know and understand the importance of guest satisfaction and are trained to meet service standards
  • develop and implement marketing and action plans to maximize revenue per available room
  • coordinate advertising, public relations, and promotional programs
  • meet or exceed budgeted profit margin
  • accurately forecast revenues and expenses
  • manage human resources functions including recruiting, selection, and training
  • maintain a positive work environment
  • maintain physical product standards with preventive maintenance programs
  • ensure compliance with local health and safety codes and regulations
  • manage and direct all aspects of hotel operations in accordance with brand standards
