The role of Assistant General Manager (AGM) is critical to the ongoing success and growth of our restaurant. The AGM reports directly to the General Manager and assumes comprehensive supervisory responsibilities concerning staffing, restaurant operations, and customer satisfaction. This role involves interviewing and hiring team members, overseeing their training and development, and promoting an engaged and motivated workforce. The AGM sets a positive example through personal attendance, commitment to company procedures, and mastery of operational processes.
As Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all restaurant functions comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards, including food preparation and employee practices. The position requires adeptness in inventory control, purchases for food and supplies, and financial management, including estimating food and beverage costs and maintaining sales and cash receipt records. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to resolve customer complaints professionally
Job Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant management or food service supervision

Job Duties
- Hires and trains restaurant staff
- Organizes and oversees the staff schedules
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with restaurant policy
- Supervises food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards
- Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience
- Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner
- Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations
- Estimates food and beverage costs
- Manages inventory and purchases food and supplies
- Conducts daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards
- Periodically evaluates restaurant equipment for repairs and maintenance, schedules for service
- Maintains sales records and tracks cash receipts
- Prepares and submits operations reports and other documentation requested by the company leadership
- Performs other duties as assigned
