The role of Assistant General Manager at Taco Bell is pivotal to driving the restaurant’s daily success. Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of restaurant/retail management experience
  • Assist with profit and loss management including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance, labor management, and reviewing financial reports
  • Ensure all employees receive proper training and resources
  • Champion Taco Bell's culture and values, promoting equity, inclusion, and belonging in the restaurant
  • Lead efforts in individual and team recognition, collaboration, and motivation
  • Identify and recruit exceptional talent supporting the General Manager in the hiring process
  • Possess strong communication skills for conducting performance appraisals, taking disciplinary action, and motivating and training employees
  • Adhere to corporate policies, procedures, and Occupational Health and Food Safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • Experience assisting with profit and loss management including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance, labor management, and reviewing financial reports
  • Strong communication skills for conducting performance appraisals, taking disciplinary action, and motivating and training employees
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams, promoting collaboration and motivation
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Proven experience in sourcing, recruiting, and hiring talent
  • Knowledge of corporate policies, procedures, and Occupational Health and Food Safety standards
  • Ability to work a 50-hour week
  • Leadership skills to act decisively in the General Manager's absence

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent customer satisfaction by effectively modeling the MIC Success Routine and prioritizing customer needs
  • Oversee team members' adherence to Shift Excellence responsibilities, maintain high food safety standards, and uphold Core excellence
  • Take charge of restaurant operations in the General Manager's absence
  • Collaborate with the General Manager in assessing team performance, providing ongoing constructive and positive feedback
  • Address employee relations issues, determine immediate resolutions, or escalate to the General Manager when necessary
  • Assist in sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members while promoting a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Assist with profit and loss management, including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance, and labor management
  • Review financial reports and take appropriate actions to optimize performance
  • Support the General Manager in facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are consistently followed
