Taco Bell is a leading fast-food restaurant chain known for its innovative menu offerings and strong brand presence globally. As a company, Taco Bell prides itself on delivering a unique dining experience that blends quality food with excellent customer service. Founded in 1962, Taco Bell has grown to become a prominent name in the restaurant industry, offering a dynamic work environment that fosters growth, inclusivity, and career advancement. The company emphasizes a culture of teamwork, innovation, and sustainability, making it a preferred employer for individuals passionate about the food service sector.
The role of Assistant General Manager at Taco Bell is a critical position designed to support the Restaurant General Manager in driving restaurant success. This role involves taking a hands-on approach to daily operations, ensuring that brand standards are maintained, and team members are inspired to deliver outstanding customer service. The Assistant General Manager leads by example, playing a vital role in training, coaching, and recognizing team members to help them achieve their best performance. This position requires a proactive leader who can step in to oversee restaurant operations in the absence of the General Manager, making key decisions that impact overall performance. The Assistant General Manager is also responsible for fostering a positive work culture that promotes equity, inclusion, and belonging among the team.
Applicants can expect to work approximately 50 hours per week in a fast-paced, challenging environment where teamwork and motivation are paramount. The position offers a competitive base pay range of $40,000 to $58,000 annually, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. In addition to the salary, employees have access to various incentives, including shift bonuses, discounts, and comprehensive benefits. Taco Bell supports its employees' growth through career advancement opportunities, professional development, and educational programs such as free bachelor's degrees and scholarships. The company also puts a strong emphasis on wellness, offering medical benefits starting from day one of employment, health and wellness programs, and a 401k retirement plan with a 6% match.
The Assistant General Manager role focuses on operational excellence, financial management, and team development. Key responsibilities include ensuring consistent customer satisfaction by modeling the MIC Success Routine, overseeing adherence to shift excellence standards, maintaining food safety and health protocols, and collaborating with the General Manager on team performance and problem resolution. Additionally, the Assistant General Manager takes part in recruiting and hiring team members while actively promoting a workplace culture that values diversity and inclusion. Financial oversight is another critical aspect, involving profit and loss management, cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance, and labor management. Overall, this role offers a unique opportunity to grow as a leader in the vibrant and evolving fast-food industry while contributing to Taco Bell's mission of delivering exceptional dining experiences and sustainable business practices.
