Walk-On's is currently seeking a dedicated Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join its leadership team in a full-time, exempt position. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the AGM plays a crucial role in supporting all facets of restaurant operations, encompassing both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) functions. This leadership role demands a hands-on approach to overseeing daily activities aimed at maintaining and elevating the restaurant's standards for quality, service, and cleanliness (QSC).
The Assistant General Manager responsibilities include not only ensuring a top-tier, consistent guest experience but also fostering a positive, motivational team atmosphere aligned with Walk-On's dynamic culture. The AGM acts as a coach and mentor to team members, facilitating their professional development and assisting in recruitment and training efforts. In addition, the Assistant General Manager is charged with driving financial performance by monitoring labor, food, and operational costs, supporting profitability goals, and managing inventory and scheduling efficiently.
Moreover, the AGM ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations concerning labor, health, safety, and company policies, including cash handling, food safety, and equipment maintenance. Job Requirements
- minimum 2 years of management experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant
- proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
