You are applying to join a franchise-operated Taco Bell restaurant, which is independently owned and operated by a franchisee, not Taco Bell Corporation or any of its affiliates. Franchisees are independent business owners, meaning they set their own wages, benefits, and employment terms, which can differ significantly from one franchisee to another. This role is for an Assistant Manager who supports the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) to ensure all shifts operate smoothly and business objectives are met. Specifically, the Assistant Manager is tasked with managing work shifts effectively while also handling several important administrative duties that keep the restaurant running at peak performance. You will act as the RGM’s right hand, stepping into a leadership role whenever the RGM is absent, providing the leadership necessary to maintain consistent operations in accordance with Taco Bell's stringent quality and safety standards.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the work performance of Team Members, Team Member Trainers, and Shift Leads, making sure that all assigned duties are completed efficiently and customers are served safe, high-quality food in a friendly manner. The Assistant Manager assists the RGM in maintaining the facility and plays an essential part in staffing by helping to find, hire, and develop exceptional Team Members and Shift Leads to build a strong and competent team.
Additionally, an important part of this position involves ensuring health and safety protocols are strictly followed, guaranteeing a safe and clean environment for both guests and employees. Assistant Managers demonstrate strong customer service skills through resolving complaints quickly and with positivity, maintaining composure and professionalism even in challenging situations. Providing constructive feedback to team members in an encouraging style is expected to foster a motivated workforce committed to excellence.
Fiscal responsibility is another critical area of focus. You will need to follow cash handling, security measures, inventory management, and labor policies meticulously to safeguard company assets and optimize operational efficiency.
