Job Description

Our company is a dynamic leader in the hospitality industry, dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences through committed and well-trained leadership teams. As a prominent restaurant group committed to operational excellence and customer satisfaction, we prioritize strong leadership that reflects the company’s core values and vision. We operate with a culture rooted in accountability, positivity, and team support, ensuring that every shift runs efficiently and every guest leaves with a memorable experience. Our restaurants uphold high standards for food quality, service speed, cleanliness, and operational productivity, all driven by passionate team members known as smile makers who embody our brand’s promise.

The role of Assistant General Manager (AGM) is pivotal within our organization. Assistant GMs are expected to be energetic, positive, and vocal leaders who consistently mirror the vision of the General Manager and broader company goals. This full-time role involves working approximately 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling aligned with General Manager guidelines, demonstrating adaptability as a key trait. The AGM oversees shift operations with an intense focus on guest satisfaction, labor control, waste reduction, recipe accuracy, service speed, and cleanliness. They are hands-on leaders who provide constant communication and direction to ensure all team members meet and exceed our standards.

In addition to leading operations, Assistant GMs play an active role in schedule writing to forecast and balance labor needs effectively, all while maintaining optimal guest service levels. Training coordination is another critical component of the position, working alongside Certified Trainers and supporting the GM in training final validations. The AGM supports hiring processes by assisting with first interviews, using structured questionnaires and providing thoughtful candidate feedback. They are also entrusted with essential cash handling duties, including deposits, drawer counts, and petty cash transactions during shifts.

Inventory management and ordering are vital responsibilities; the AGM collaborates closely with the GM to master inventory accuracy and ordering best practices based on par levels. Understanding and managing margins is critical too, as they monitor food, labor, and supply costs to ensure profitability within established budgets. Assistant GMs are coached to deepen their knowledge of unit operations, including repair and maintenance processes, budgeting, goal setting, personnel development, and profit and loss management.

From lifting inventory items weighing up to 15-20 pounds to maintaining working computer skills, this role demands physical capability and technical proficiency. Candidates must hold a valid manager’s Food Safety Certificate, pass a background and credit check, have a valid driver’s license, and be eligible to work in the United States. Bilingual abilities are considered an asset, enhancing communication and team diversity.

Our company is committed to equal employment opportunity and participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility of all new hires. The Assistant General Manager position is an excellent opportunity for motivated leaders seeking career growth within a reputable, supportive hospitality environment where their leadership directly impacts team success and guest satisfaction.
