Job Description
Taco Bell is a leading global fast-food restaurant brand known for its innovative Tex-Mex cuisine and vibrant culture. As part of the restaurant and retail industry, Taco Bell continuously strives to deliver exceptional customer experiences by blending fresh ingredients, speed of service, and welcoming environments. Taco Bell emphasizes a dynamic workplace that fosters personal growth, strong team collaboration, and commitment to brand standards. By maintaining a culture rooted in inclusion, equity, and belonging, Taco Bell ensures that every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute to the restaurant's success.
The role of Assistant General Manager at Taco Bell is pivotal in driving the restaurant's daily operations and team performance. As an Assistant General Manager, you act as the key support to the Restaurant General Manager, helping uphold Taco Bell's brand standards while creating a positive work environment. This position involves hands-on leadership, coaching, and training to ensure that team members consistently deliver unforgettable customer experiences. You will take on the responsibility of managing the restaurant's operations in the absence of the General Manager, which requires making key decisions that influence the overall success of the location.
This full-time role typically involves working a 50-hour week and offers competitive annual compensation ranging from $40,000 to $58,000 depending on various factors including experience, location, and qualifications. The Assistant General Manager position emphasizes a balanced work-hard, play-hard approach, offering opportunities for career advancement, professional development, and generous benefits, including medical plans from day one, paid time off, and unique perks such as discounts on mortgages, vehicles, and gym memberships.
Daily duties require overseeing team members’ adherence to operational excellence, maintaining core restaurant standards, and ensuring food safety protocols are rigorously followed. You will also assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new team members, fostering a culture where equity and inclusion are front and center. Collaboration with the General Manager to evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback, and address employee relations issues is a key aspect of this leadership role.
Financial management skills are crucial as you take on responsibilities related to Profit & Loss management, cash control, inventory maintenance, labor management, and reviewing financial reports to optimize restaurant performance. Additionally, you play an active role in facility maintenance and upholding health and safety standards to create a safe environment for both employees and customers. The Assistant General Manager role at Taco Bell is designed for individuals who are passionate about restaurant management and eager to contribute to a thriving team culture and operational excellence.
