The role of Assistant General Manager (AGM) is crucial within this restaurant. The AGM is responsible for providing general supervision across various operational areas, including interviewing prospective employees, hiring staff, engaging and motivating employees, personal attendance, and training. The goal is to contribute significantly to the restaurant’s progress and growth by setting an example of commitment and excellent process expertise to all team members. This leadership role demands strong supervisory skills to ensure that the daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Assistant General Manager will be heavily involved in organizing and managing staff schedules and conducting performance evaluations in a timely and constructive manner. In addition to managing personnel, the Assistant General Manager oversees food preparation and ensures strict compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards. Maintaining customer satisfaction is a top priority; this includes handling customer complaints diplomatically and ensuring every dining experience is exceptional. The AGM also manages inventory, estimates food and beverage costs, and purchases necessary supplies. Regular inspections of the restaurant and its equipment to uphold safety and operational standards are crucial responsibilities. They will evaluate equipment for repairs and schedule maintenance services accordingly. The role also involves maintaining sales records, tracking cash receipts, preparing operational reports, and submitting these to company leadership. Ultimately, this position requires a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and who can bring energy, inspiration, and strategic leadership to the team. The salary and exact employment type are to be discussed during the recruitment stages, with a potential for growth aligned with the expansion of the restaurant brand.
