As a prominent name in the casual dining sector, Big City Wings specializes in delivering an unparalleled guest experience centered around flavorful wings, excellent service, and a welcoming environment. With a strong emphasis on maintaining high standards for food preparation, cleanliness, and responsible alcohol service, the company thrives by fostering a positive and productive workplace culture that aligns with its core mission. Big City Wings has continually grown through dedication to operational excellence, staff development, and a guest-focused approach that drives repeat business and community loyalty. The restaurant operates seven days a week, including holidays, ensuring that ample opportunities exist for both customer engagement and employee advancement. The role advertised is a full-time management position where the successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager, Regional Supervisor, Director of Operations, or Owner. This position offers a highly rewarding environment for leaders passionate about hospitality and operational efficiency, with the chance to impact sales, service quality, team performance, and overall restaurant success.
The Restaurant Manager at Big City Wings plays a critical role in ensuring that daily operations run smoothly while upholding the company’s high standards. This leadership position involves overseeing all facets of the restaurant’s functions, including staffing, training, scheduling, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations. The manager is responsible for promoting and embodying the company mission through effective delegation, employee development, and exceptional guest service. This includes controlling costs, managing budgets and payroll, monitoring food quality and presentation, and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility. Additionally, the manager will handle financial tasks such as cash handling, bank deposits, and reviewing financial reports to identify opportunities for cost savings or improvements.
Another crucial aspect of the role is coordinating staff assignments, recruiting and evaluating employees, and taking corrective actions when necessary to maintain a high-performance team committed to providing an excellent guest experience. The manager also oversees inventory management and supplier relations to ensure that all products meet quality standards and that deliveries adhere to company policies. Working closely with staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment, the manager is expected to perform occasional food service or preparation duties, especially during peak times or to fill gaps in coverage.
Furthermore, the Restaurant Manager will contribute to the strategic growth of the restaurant by supporting marketing initiatives, managing catering orders, and enhancing the customer atmosphere during significant events like game days. A hands-on leader, this person will actively engage with employees and guests, address complaints promptly, and create opportunities for team development and continuous operational improvement. Communication skills are paramount, as the role requires consistent interaction with upper management and team members through various channels to ensure seamless operations. The position demands resilience and physical stamina as the manager must frequently be on their feet and capable of performing tasks such as lifting, reaching, and moving furniture when necessary.
Overall, this role is ideal for an experienced and motivated professional eager to contribute to one of the fastest-growing restaurants in the casual dining industry. The position entails working across all days of the week and holidays, reflecting the commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. By joining Big City Wings as a Restaurant Manager, candidates will have the opportunity to build their leadership skills, take ownership of a high-energy team environment, and help drive the continued success of the restaurant.
