The Assistant General Manager role at SodexoMagic is specifically designed for a premium hospitality airport lounge at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a critical leadership role overseeing the full Profit & Loss (P&L) management, labor controls, cost forecasting, and financial performance of the lounge. This position demands strong managerial capabilities including hiring, training, and developing the management team such as floor managers and supervisors to uphold the highest service standards. You will be the operational backbone during peak hours, maintaining a visible presence on the floor, leading by example, and ensuring consistent brand execution and guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities involve meticulous scheduling and staffing aligned with flight volume to optimize efficiency and productivity. The role also requires active partnership with corporate stakeholders, airport authorities, and vendors to ensure seamless compliance with departmental and airport regulations, including safety, security, and health guidelines. Job Requirements
- have previous food and beverage experience within hotels, restaurants or similar upscale hospitality venues
- have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
- possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service
- exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
- demonstrate working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs
Job Qualifications
- bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 3 years management experience
- minimum 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
- experience within hotels, restaurants or similar upscale hospitality venues
- strong leadership skills
- ability to work collaboratively with all levels of organization
- professional communication skills
- passion for high-level customer service
- working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
- knowledge of menu graphics programs
Job Duties
