The Co-Host (Assistant General Manager) role at Layne's is a crucial leadership position designed for individuals who embody the values of being Smart, Hungry, and Humble. This role involves supporting the General Manager fully by exemplifying leadership and operational excellence on a daily basis. The Co-Host is not only a leader by example but also an expert in all facets of restaurant operations, maintaining standards, training staff, and ensuring the overall success of the store. They are instrumental in developing the team, inspiring others to excel, and managing comprehensive labor and cost controls. The Co-Host lives by the principle of '15 to 1 and OTT'—which means delivering 15 times the service compared to the quality of food served—and they strive for an outstanding customer experience that goes above and beyond expectations.
The role demands a hands-on leader who can efficiently manage inventory, labor scheduling, employee hiring, and training, all while maintaining operational excellence. The Co-Host is expected to be proactive in managing costs like labor and cost of goods (COGs), ensuring proper inventory stock and rotation, submitting invoices, and handling employee interviews and onboarding. Being active and communicative, the Co-Host keeps the team engaged and motivated, maintains punctuality, and fosters a collaborative culture that supports growth and development. The compensation range for this position is $13.50 to $16.50 per hour. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in restaurant management or assistant management
- Strong understanding of labor and inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
