Job Description

Archer Hotel Napa is an upscale boutique hotel located in the vibrant heart of downtown Napa, California. This property is part of the highly regarded Archer Hotel collection, known for its stylish ambiance, exceptional service, and prime locations. Owned and operated by LodgeWorks, a privately held hotel development and management company, Archer Hotel Napa offers guests a luxurious experience surrounded by the rich culture and scenic beauty of Napa Valley's renowned wine country. The hotel combines modern comfort with distinct local character, appealing to both leisure and business travelers seeking an upscale and memorable stay. LodgeWorks has a 40-plus year legacy of pioneering hospitality excellence, with a portfolio of 18 hotels that include popular brands such as Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Aloft, and Hampton Inn. Although the company name is not front-facing, its culture deeply influences each property, emphasizing a family atmosphere, guest-focused service, and innovation across its nationwide operations.

The position of Assistant General Manager (AGM) or Hotel Manager at Archer Hotel Napa offers an exciting leadership opportunity with a salary range of $150,000 to $160,000 annually, plus a performance-based bonus. This role demands an experienced and dynamic professional to oversee all aspects of hotel operations, primarily focusing on the Rooms Division, Spa, and Food and Beverage departments. The AGM serves as a pivotal figure in implementing sales and revenue strategies, managing daily operational challenges, controlling budgets, and leading a diverse team of associates. The successful candidate embodies the Archer brand standards through personalized guest engagement, visible leadership on the floor, and a steadfast commitment to excellent service from guest arrival through departure.

This leadership role requires working closely with multiple departments including Sales & Revenue, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, and Human Resources to ensure operational excellence and maximize hotel profitability and guest satisfaction. In the absence of the General Manager, the AGM assumes full responsibility for the overall hotel operations, making this a critical position for those who thrive in a fast-paced, upscale hospitality environment. The candidate must be capable of inspiring teams, driving key business results, and elevating the guest experience to align with the hotel’s reputation as a premier destination in wine country. This role also demands proactive problem-solving skills, strong financial acumen, and the ability to maintain a welcoming, safe, and efficient property. Overall, the Assistant General Manager at Archer Hotel Napa is instrumental in shaping the guest experience and operational success through leadership that blends strategic oversight with hands-on engagement and collaborative teamwork, situated within the vibrant hospitality culture of LodgeWorks.
