Job Description
Our client is a modern Vietnamese restaurant located in the vibrant culinary scene of Beverly Hills, known for its elevated dining experience and commitment to authentic yet innovative flavors. This establishment prides itself on blending traditional Vietnamese cuisine with contemporary techniques, creating an exceptional menu that attracts both locals and visitors seeking a high-end dining destination. The restaurant emphasizes a guest-focused atmosphere, combining polished hospitality with an inviting and sophisticated ambiance to deliver a memorable experience for every patron.
The role of Assistant General Manager is a pivotal leadership position designed for a polished and hospitality-driven professional who possesses a strong background in beverage, cocktail development, and service excellence. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment and is passionate about operational discipline and beverage innovation. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, ensuring seamless front-of-house service and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality that align with the restaurant's elite reputation.
A key responsibility of the Assistant General Manager is to lead the beverage program, which includes cocktail and menu development, seasonal updates, and ensuring wine and spirit offerings complement the culinary creations. This role requires a leader who not only understands luxury hospitality but also drives revenue through innovative beverage programming and impeccable service. The Assistant General Manager will also act as the Manager-on-Duty during shifts, managing operational flow, resolving guest concerns with professionalism, and motivating the front-of-house team to achieve service excellence.
Additionally, the role encompasses financial and administrative duties, such as managing labor budgets, scheduling, and monitoring profit and loss statements with an emphasis on beverage revenue and cost control. Compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations is a priority, ensuring that the restaurant operates within industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of progressive leadership experience in upscale or fine-dining environments, coupled with a strong beverage background including cocktail expertise and wine knowledge. Leadership qualities such as the ability to motivate a team, exceptional communication skills, and a calm, decisive manner under pressure are essential. Experience with advanced mixology training or certifications, WSET or sommelier credentials, and familiarity with Asian or modern Vietnamese dining concepts is highly desirable.
This opportunity offers competitive compensation with salary plus bonus potential, the chance to lead within a respected culinary brand, and career growth in one of Beverly Hills' premier restaurant establishments. The restaurant fosters a high-performance, hospitality-driven culture where creativity, financial discipline, and guest satisfaction are paramount. If you are a polished and professional leader who is passionate about hospitality and beverage excellence, this role will enable you to set the tone for service culture and take your career to the next level in a luxurious and dynamic environment.
