Job Description

WenJAI Restaurant Group is a prominent operator in the limited-service restaurant industry, managing 72 establishments across Florida, New Mexico, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. Established with a mission to be a cut above for all stakeholders, WenJAI emphasizes core values such as commitment, fairness, honesty, loyalty, and respect. The company strives to lead in the national franchise fast food sector by delivering exceptional customer experiences characterized by quality, service, and cleanliness. This is achieved by continuously developing professional and friendly staff, upholding high operational standards, and actively contributing to the communities they serve. With a leadership team that collectively holds over 450 years of industry experience, WenJAI Restaurant Group exemplifies seasoned expertise and dedicated leadership in the fast food franchise arena.

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) position at WenJAI Restaurant Group is a critical leadership role within each restaurant operation. AGMs support the General Manager by overseeing daily operations and ensuring the restaurant consistently meets and exceeds customer expectations. They play a vital role in managing a million-dollar business by instilling high energy and maintaining high standards throughout their shifts. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of the business, mentoring and developing the team, particularly Crew Members and Shift Supervisors, to build a strong leadership pipeline. The Assistant General Manager fosters a positive team atmosphere, promoting collaboration and engagement among all team members. Moreover, the AGM ensures strict adherence to company policies, federal, state, and local laws, and ethical business practices. AGMs must effectively communicate and work cohesively with the General Manager, other Restaurant Managers, Shift Supervisors, and Crew Members to achieve store objectives and maintain smooth operational flow. This role is as much about people leadership as it is about business management, requiring a blend of operational acumen, leadership ability, and interpersonal skills.

AGMs also participate in recruiting efforts, interviewing, selecting, and training staff to uphold WenJAI's commitment to excellence. They contribute to maintaining a culture of engaged and motivated employees, which directly impacts customer satisfaction and overall restaurant performance. The company also supports inclusivity and accommodation under the ADA, ensuring equitable employment practices. With a clear career path and a robust support system, WenJAI Restaurant Group values the contributions of their Assistant General Managers and provides them with opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the organization.
