Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of restaurant management experience
  • At least 2 years experience as an assistant general manager in a full-service restaurant
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Experience with inventory and back-of-house operational systems
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, early mornings and late nights
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of restaurant management experience
  • 2+ years of assistant general manager experience in full-service restaurants
  • Skilled in team leadership and development
  • Experienced with inventory and back-of-house systems
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of guest service and operational excellence

Job Duties

  • Ensure day-to-day business operations run smoothly
  • Assist with training, recruiting, HR and administrative duties
  • Assist with financials and statement preparation
  • Assist the General Manager with customer service inquiries
  • Organize, run and supervise daily opening and closing shifts
  • Provide guidance and leadership to teams
  • Respond effectively to guest and employee needs and feedback
  • Assist General Manager in managing costs, driving sales and growing the business
  • Partner with General Manager and team to interview, hire, onboard, train and develop employees
  • Perform regular and ad hoc inventories
  • Place orders and inspect deliveries
  • Model and promote teamwork
  • Use tact and good judgment in dealing with guests, vendors and employees
  • Work various shifts including early mornings, late nights and weekends
  • Move and lift restaurant supplies as needed
