Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year hotel leadership experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including kneeling, squatting, standing, sitting, bending, twisting
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and cover shifts
  • Must comply with drug-free workplace policy

Job Duties

  • Train and provide guidance to staff
  • Discuss staff performance discrepancies and training needs with General Manager
  • Attend and lead staff huddles
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to ensure the team achieves outstanding results
  • Post checks in PMS
  • Complete weekly labor tracker
  • Manage payment due reports, postpaid outs and receipts
  • Ensure the hotel is guest ready by maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Address guest concerns promptly
  • Monitor and follow up on guest feedback
  • Suggest and sell amenities
  • Ensure guest and property security
  • Assign rooms to housekeeping and assist GM with inspections
  • Manage inventory
  • Check property email
  • Build relationships with vendors and guests
  • Foster teamwork
  • Network within the local community to promote the property
  • Build relationships with competitive properties and key clients
  • Lead in-house guest sales and marketing initiatives
  • Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties as needed
  • Cover employee shifts to ensure operational continuity
  • Follow property emergency procedures
  • Ensure security needs are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned
