Job Requirements
- Ability to work with children
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Must pass background examinations
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in lifeguarding or related fields
- Current certifications in lifeguard, CPR/AED and first aid
- Ability to manage and train staff
- Willingness to work in a warm, humid environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience as certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor, camp counselor or childcare provider required
- Two or more years management experience preferred
- Two or more years as swimming instructor preferred
- Lifeguard, CPR/AED and first aid certifications required
- Shallow water attendant certification highly recommended
Job Duties
- Directs and controls the daily operations to ensure the school is running according to Goldfish Swim School standard operating procedures
- Assists General Manager and department managers with fulfilling daily tasks
- Manages staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance and positive employee satisfaction
- Trains and oversees aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction
- Interacts with Deck Supervisors and Golden Teachers regarding class scheduling, student progress, customer service and training
- Provides sales and marketing training to qualified sales staff
- Oversees retail and vending departments to ensure optimal product mix and pricing
- Trains and oversees private party staff to maintain standards
- Develops competence in Links software for bookings and reporting
- Maintains safe and sanitary pool operations
- Initiates employee activities to improve workplace satisfaction
- Implements Emergency Action Plan and trains staff on safety procedures
- Maintains current certifications and professional development in aquatics and management
- Performs other duties as assigned
