Known for its comfortable accommodations and attentive customer care, this hotel has built a reputation for excellence within the hospitality industry. With a strong commitment to guest satisfaction and operational efficiency, the hotel focuses on creating a welcoming and memorable stay for all visitors, whether they are business travelers or vacationers. Our team prides itself on professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement to meet the dynamic demands of the hospitality sector.
We are seeking an Assistant Front Office Manager to join our leadership team and oversee the efficient operation of all Front Office departments including Front Desk, Bell, Door, and Night Audit. The Assistant Front Office Manager plays a pivotal role in setting and maintaining a high level of guest service as outlined by the management’s guidelines. This role involves direct supervision of front office employees, ensuring their performance aligns with the hotel's standards and customer expectations. The position includes responsibilities such as creating employee schedules, providing support and training to the line staff, managing operational supplies, and maintaining budget compliance regarding labor costs and expenses. The successful candidate will also be responsible for administering proper cash and credit handling procedures and ensuring the accuracy and maintenance of the guest ledger and guest comment cards.
The role demands a leader who can effectively coach, counsel, and discipline employees when necessary, using appropriate documentation and methodologies. The Assistant Front Office Manager must be proactive in managing any shift-related issues, particularly during night audit shifts, and in handling absences or tardiness by arranging suitable coverage to maintain continuous service. Additionally, the position requires a strong focus on quality control to meet or exceed customer service benchmarks such as those measured by Mystery Shopper Surveys. This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically, making it essential that candidates possess excellent verbal communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
As an integral part of the hotel management team, the Assistant Front Office Manager will contribute to fostering an environment where guest satisfaction, employee development, and operational excellence are top priorities. The ideal candidate will bring at least one year of supervisory experience within the hospitality or a similar industry, have familiarity with the Opera property management system and Microsoft Office Suite, and hold a bachelor's degree, which is preferred but not mandatory. This position offers an engaging opportunity to grow within a reputable hotel environment and impact guest experiences positively while advancing personal career goals within hotel management.
