Job Requirements

  • At least two years of previous direct experience as hotel Assistant Front Office Manager
  • At least three to four years direct experience as hotel Front Office Supervisor
  • Flexible to work AM and PM shifts, mid-shifts, holidays, weekends and overnight shifts as needed
  • Problem solver
  • Self-starter
  • Customer service oriented
  • Problem resolution
  • High comfortability in working with computers
  • Must be able to stand/walk for at least eight (8) hours

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of previous direct experience as hotel Assistant Front Office Manager
  • Three to four years of direct experience as hotel Front Office Supervisor
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including AM, PM, weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency with computer systems relevant to hotel operations
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Manage Front Office staff and daily operations of department
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutions
  • Manage and resolve challenging customer situations
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and solicit customer feedback to improve service
  • Supervise Front Desk and Night Audit staff ensuring duties, closing paperwork and money drops are accurately completed
  • Work closely with Housekeeping and Engineering to control out-of-order and discrepant rooms
  • Enforce hotel and department policies and procedures
  • Train, develop, counsel, discipline and evaluate staff
  • Work closely with Valet team members to ensure performance expectations are being met
  • Ensure proper credit and cash bank procedures are consistently followed
  • Maintain guest safety and handle emergency situations and evacuations
