Job Description
The Hermitage Hotel, located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, is a prestigious and historic establishment with roots dating back to 1910. Revered as Nashville's original million-dollar landmark, the hotel has garnered the status of a National Historic Landmark since 2020. Its stunning Beaux-Arts architecture remains a testament to the grandeur of a bygone era, harmoniously blended with modern luxury and comfort. Over its century-plus evolution, the Hermitage Hotel continues to be a cornerstone for sophisticated gatherings and timeless hospitality experiences, embodying its mottos and mission: "Meet me at The Hermitage." Guided by six core values—excellence, accountability, integrity, teamwork, tradition, and community—the hotel sets the gold standard in luxury hospitality, offering its guests an unmatched blend of personalized service and historical ambiance.
The hotel's commitment to maintaining its historic charm while infusing contemporary elegance is evident through restorations completed between 2021 and 2022. These renovations preserved hallmark features such as the iconic marble lobby and stained-glass ceilings, alongside a refresh of its 122 suites. Additionally, the culinary offerings have been elevated through the collaboration with Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, adding refined dining experiences that reflect both innovation and tradition.
Joining The Hermitage Hotel means becoming part of a dedicated team that takes pride in preserving the legacy of this Nashville treasure. The working environment emphasizes professional growth, collaboration, and a deeply ingrained culture of hospitality excellence. Team members benefit from competitive wages, a comprehensive benefits package, and the opportunity to be part of a thriving hospitality institution committed to delivering luxury guest experiences.
As the Food and Beverage (F&B) Floor Manager at The Hermitage Hotel, you are entrusted with the vital role of leading and orchestrating the front-of-house operations in one of Nashville’s most prestigious culinary settings. This role requires a dynamic leader who can maintain composure, deliver impeccable service, and foster a culture of excellence and teamwork. Responsible for setting the tone for the guest experience, the F&B Floor Manager ensures that every interaction from arrival to departure reflects the high standards and personalized service synonymous with The Hermitage brand.
The F&B Floor Manager operates as the central point for front-of-house activities, from overseeing the flow of service and managing guest relations to mentoring staff and coordinating floor logistics. This role demands acute attention to detail, a proactive approach to service challenges, and the ability to engage and inspire a diverse team including servers, hosts, captains, and sommeliers. The manager will collaborate closely with culinary, beverage, concierge, and events teams to synchronize efforts and create flawless luxury dining experiences.
The position offers a rewarding blend of operational leadership, guest service, and team development within a storied historic hotel setting. It provides a platform for hospitality professionals passionate about luxury dining and guest satisfaction to shine and grow their careers. The role is full-time, requiring availability across varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a starting annual salary of $70,000, paid biweekly. This opportunity at The Hermitage Hotel not only promises career advancement but also a chance to contribute meaningfully to Nashville’s cultural and hospitality legacy while thriving in a supportive and noble work environment.
