Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
  • Or 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
  • Ability to work full time
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to lead and supervise teams
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to handle and resolve guest and staff concerns
  • Knowledge of food and safety regulations
  • Willingness to perform hourly job duties as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
  • Or 2-year degree from accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major with 1 year experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
  • Proven leadership skills in a food and beverage management environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and operating expenses
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional guest service

Job Duties

  • Assist in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms
  • Supervise daily food and beverage shift operations and ensure compliance with policies, standards and procedures
  • Support and supervise monthly self inspection programs
  • Operate department equipment as necessary and report malfunctions
  • Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work
  • Celebrate and foster decisions that result in successes as well as failures
  • Communicate areas needing attention to staff and follow up to ensure understanding
  • Coordinate cleaning programs in all food and beverage areas, identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Follow property specific second effort and recovery plans
  • Stay readily available and approachable for all team members
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the brand specific service culture
  • Provide services above and beyond customer satisfaction and retention
  • Serve as role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
  • Manage day-to-day operations ensuring quality, standards and meeting customer expectations
  • Take proactive approaches dealing with guest concerns
  • Set positive example for guest relations
  • Stay readily available and approachable for all guests
  • Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
  • Respond timely to customer service department requests
  • Provide information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, written form, e-mail or in person
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose best solutions and solve problems
  • Perform hourly job functions if necessary
  • Extend professionalism and courtesy to team members at all times
