The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager role at The Seabird Resort plays a critical part in maintaining and elevating the high standards of the resort's food and beverage operations. This key position is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage areas within the hotel, ensuring seamless daily operations that meet both guest expectations and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include scheduling staff, forecasting needs for inventory and labor, training team members, and ensuring strict compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as the resort's established operating procedures.

Additionally, the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager may coordinate special events hosted at the hotel, working closely with various departments to ensure flawless execution and memorable guest experiences. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in food and beverage management
  • knowledge of wine and beverage service preferred
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • understanding of food safety protocols
  • legal age for alcohol service in California

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years in food and beverage management position
  • wine and beverage knowledge in an upscale environment preferred
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and overnights
  • team player and dynamic leader
  • commitment to follow food safety protocols
  • must be of age to serve and pour alcohol in California
