Chevy Chase Club is a prestigious, full-service family-oriented private club located just outside the heart of Chevy Chase. Established in 1892, the Club has a long-standing tradition of providing its members, their families, and guests with exceptional recreational facilities and athletic venues in a welcoming atmosphere that upholds high standards of service and excellence. As a community-focused institution, the Club is committed to fostering a professional and positive environment where both staff and members can thrive. The Club's offerings include a range of sports amenities, dining options, and social events designed to nurture a sense of belonging and enjoyment for all ages. With a history spanning over a century, Chevy Chase Club maintains a reputation for quality, tradition, and service that is unmatched in the area.

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager position at Chevy Chase Club plays a vital role in supporting the daily dining operations with an emphasis on maintaining superior service standards, fostering team development, and providing effective floor leadership. As a key figure in the club's hospitality team, the Assistant Manager works closely with senior management to ensure seamless service execution, clear communication, and a well-paced dining experience across various assigned dining outlets. This individual will be highly visible on the floor, interact regularly with members and staff, and proactively anticipate and address needs while resolving issues promptly. The role requires an individual who can lead calmly under pressure, coach and motivate service staff to deliver warm and consistent hospitality, and uphold the club’s rigorous service standards through direct presence and ongoing coaching.

Key responsibilities include managing daily food and beverage operations, overseeing the professionalism and pace of service, supporting scheduling and staffing needs, assisting in the execution of private events and high-volume service periods, and conducting at least one large Club Event annually. The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager is also responsible for addressing member feedback efficiently and with care, thereby contributing to a positive team culture grounded in accountability and excellence.

This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with 1 to 3 years of supervisory or management experience in upscale settings such as private clubs, fine dining restaurants, or hotels. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong floor presence, and the ability to lead teams during busy service periods. Flexibility in working hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Compensation for this position is competitive, ranging between $70,000 and $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan with employer contributions, paid time off, paid parental leave, employee meals, professional development opportunities, and a clothing allowance. The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager role at Chevy Chase Club offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a strong leadership culture that values teamwork, accountability, and delivering memorable hospitality experiences.
