Job Qualifications

  • 1 year of F&B management experience in a restaurant or luxury hotel preferred
  • 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree with 1 year related experience or a 2-year college degree with 2 or more years related experience
  • Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department, liquor laws and regulations

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and employees
  • Oversee daily operation of the F&B outlet
  • Supervise outlet personnel
  • Respond promptly to guest complaints
  • Communicate with other F&B managers about operational issues
  • Keep immediate supervisor informed of problems requiring attention
  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring loss prevention
  • Prepare and submit timely reports including payroll, revenue, and scheduling
  • Monitor quality of service and compliance with health, liquor laws and SOPs
  • Assist in menu planning and preparation
  • Be visible on the floor and assist staff during meal periods
  • Conduct staff performance reviews
  • Implement and monitor corporate promotions
  • Train employees on SOPs and technical tasks
  • Interview and hire front-of-house F&B staff
  • Complete tip reporting
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Oversee private events and in-room dining
  • Hold staff accountable and apply discipline or recognition appropriately
