Known for its dedication to providing exceptional guest experiences, Cavallo Point embodies an approachable luxury philosophy that emphasizes warmth, personalized service, and an inviting atmosphere. This establishment attracts discerning travelers seeking a unique blend of sophisticated elegance and natural beauty in a serene environment. As a leader in the hospitality industry, Cavallo Point is committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and service, ensuring every visitor's stay is memorable and fulfilling.
The role of the Food and Beverage Manager at Cavallo Point is a pivotal leadership position within the hotel’s food and beverage division. This role demands a dynamic and experienced management professional capable of overseeing multiple food and beverage outlets with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence. The manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of employees in various dining venues, ensuring smooth service operations, and managing high-pressure situations effectively. This position requires the ability to multitask and adapt swiftly in a fast-paced environment, scheduling staff according to business demands including special functions, and maintaining accurate reservation systems aligned with kitchen operations.
In addition to staff management, the Food and Beverage Manager at Cavallo Point is accountable for payroll accuracy, budgeting, and cash handling procedures for venues such as Farley Bar and Murray Circle. The manager plays a crucial role in training, motivating, and evaluating restaurant staff, upholding the hotel’s cultural standards and service philosophy. Strong problem-solving skills are essential to independently address any challenges that arise during service, fostering collaboration between front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The manager is also tasked with executing large party bookings, ensuring compliance with booking procedures, and leading pre-service meetings to optimize team coordination.
This leadership role requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to inspire employees and create legendary memories for guests. Participation in departmental and hotel leadership meetings reflects the collaborative nature of the job, as does demonstrating teamwork within the food and beverage divisions. The Food and Beverage Manager upholds safety standards, professional appearance, and company policies to maintain a respectful and efficient workplace environment. Commitment to delivering 5 Star service standards and embracing Cavallo Point’s Approachable Luxury Philosophy further distinguish this position.
The salary for this role ranges from $75,000 to $80,000 per year, including bonus incentives, reflecting the importance of this position within the hotel’s management team. Candidates must be flexible with work schedules, prepared to cover various shifts, nights, and weekends, and meet certification requirements such as California Food Handler’s Certification and Alcohol Training within 30 days of hire. This is a full-time management opportunity for an individual passionate about hospitality and ready to lead a talented food and beverage team to new heights of guest satisfaction and operational success.
