The Assistant Facilities Manager role is integral to maintaining the high standards of facility management at this busy California location. This position is responsible for leading and supervising several teams including maintenance, security, grounds, and custodial workers, ensuring that every aspect of the facility operates smoothly and efficiently. The role involves a strong hands-on approach where the manager regularly inspects buildings, sites, and equipment for maintenance needs and promptly responds to emergency repair requests.
The Assistant Facilities Manager oversees various technical duties across multiple trades, including carpentry, electrical work, painting, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and security. They also collaborate with vendors and supervise the execution of contracted services to ensure quality and timely completion. Record-keeping is an essential part of the job, requiring the preparation of detailed reports for management, including work orders, staffing reports, and audits.
This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $130,000 per year with regular working hours from Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends for on-call duties. The role demands availability for after-hours and weekend support to handle any emergencies or urgent maintenance needs.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of management or leadership experience
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), landscaping, HVAC and electrical systems
- Assist with maintenance work
- Available for after-hours and weekend on-call services as needed
