The Assistant Executive Housekeeper role at HHM Hotels is integral to maintaining and elevating the quality of housekeeping services across the hotel property. This position is responsible for ensuring that all housekeeping operations align with the brand's rigorous standards and sustainability initiatives under HHM’s EarthView program. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will lead a team of housekeeping associates, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safety throughout guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel grounds.

This role demands a hands-on leader who can manage staff scheduling, inventory controls, and departmental documentation accurately and efficiently. Additionally, the Assistant Executive Housekeeper plays a pivotal role in guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and consistently driving improved guest service scores through diligent monitoring and strategic implementation of housekeeping policies. This position offers a unique opportunity for career progression within HHM Hotels, with potential advancement pathways to Executive Housekeeper, Assistant General Manager, and eventually General Manager. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • two years previous housekeeping supervisor experience required
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to walk, push, lift up to 25 pounds, bend, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch
  • availability to work varying schedules including holidays, weekends or alternate shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • two years previous housekeeping supervisor experience required

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness, appearance and safety
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and service and resolve guests’ complaints and concerns
  • Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Prepare schedules based upon occupancy and assign duties to workers and schedule shifts or notify vendor of weekly staffing needs
  • Take inventory and submit periodic inventory orders to insure supplies are purchased timely
  • Prepare required paperwork pertaining to departmental functions
  • Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation of the department or the hotel
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits
  • follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • wear protective safety equipment and participate in safety committees as directed
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
