Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of banquet or event leadership experience
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights
  • Proficiency in computer usage
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in high-volume and outdoor venues
  • Commitment to Hyatt’s values and guest satisfaction

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of banquet, event services, or hospitality leadership experience
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume environments
  • Experience working with diverse teams
  • A genuine desire to satisfy guest needs
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Oversee event setups, service flow, and breakdowns according to BEO specifications
  • Ensure event spaces are prepared accurately and on time
  • Monitor event progress and resolve issues promptly
  • Coordinate with culinary, AV, and other departments to maintain operations
  • Supervise banquet servers, housemen, bartenders, and support staff
  • Assist with training, coaching, scheduling, and performance feedback
  • Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate event details and safety reminders
  • Serve as on-site contact for meeting planners, wedding coordinators, and event hosts
  • Respond promptly to client requests and make real-time adjustments
  • Assist with inventory control, equipment management, and linen usage
  • Support labor cost management, payroll, and scheduling
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
