Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, recreation, events management, marketing, or business
- 1-3 years of experience in event planning, development, or hospitality field, or 3-5 years equivalent work experience
- valid State driver's license
- ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications
- availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to perform physical tasks involved in event setup and teardown
- satisfactory completion of background check and drug test

Job Duties
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating community events
- coordinate and lead assigned events including Vienna Photo Show, Flashlight Egg Hunt, and Summer on the Green Concert Series
- serve as liaison for Town Partnership events such as Viva Vienna or Oktoberfest
- coordinate logistics including site layouts, event timelines, and staff assignments
- draft emergency plans and obtain required permits
- prepare and oversee event staff schedules and hiring
- manage vendor and performer correspondence and contracts
- provide on-site support and supervision at events
- assist with physical setup and teardown including equipment and signage
- act as Manager on Duty in absence of Superintendent
- support sponsorship program development
- build and maintain community partnerships
- assist with marketing plans, social media content, and promotional materials
- track and report event data including attendance and expenses
- manage invoicing and vendor agreements
- maintain event-related documentation and conduct post-event evaluations
- support customer service and event inquiries
- attend meetings and professional development sessions
- maintain positive relationships with staff, volunteers, and community members
- perform related duties as assigned
