The role of the Delivery - Assistant Driver at L&F Distributors is crucial in supporting the delivery operations. This position works alongside the primary driver to ensure that product orders are accurately and efficiently delivered to assigned customer accounts. The Assistant Driver’s responsibilities extend beyond simply accompanying the driver; they actively participate in verifying order accuracy by checking that the correct products are loaded before departure and assist with sales processes out in the field. A key aspect of this role includes conducting inventory checks and maintaining product quality at each account to reduce out-of-stock situations and guarantee customer satisfaction. The Assistant Driver must develop strong rapport with all customers while ensuring products are well represented through proper point-of-sale audits and maintaining freshness standards through adequate rotation or removal of stock. This position demands compliance with various regulatory requirements, including following the Federal Motor Carrier Act and Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (T.A.B.C.) guidelines on product sales. Additionally, the Assistant Driver is responsible for submitting accurate reports, participating in required training sessions, and adapting to other assigned duties to support delivery operations. This position requires physical agility due to the nature of the job, including lifting products up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and handling multiple tasks during deliveries.
