Job Requirements
- Nursing license in the state (RN preferred
- may consider LPN based upon leadership structure)
- CPR certification

- Basic computer skills
- Excellent assessment, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize with good attention to detail
- Interest and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Promote teamwork in providing services to residents
- Knowledge of State and Federal Guidelines for Assisted Living and Dementia
- Understanding of HIPAA requirements
- Knowledge of safe food handling procedures
- Ability to travel occasionally for meetings
- Familiarity with OSHA-MSDS sheets and procedures
- Flexible scheduling
Job Duties
- Work with a team to update service plans for residents
- Assume responsibilities in absence of the Director of Nursing
- Coordinate services to meet the health needs of the residents and promote wellness
- Perform pre-admission assessments of potential new residents
- Establish and maintain resident records according to State and Federal guidelines
- With the support of DON, assume on-call responsibilities and address medical emergencies as they arise
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene and mobility
- Assist residents with oxygen, ostomies, and other medical problems as outlined in the assistance plan
- Other duties as assigned
