Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree with 2 years related experience or 2-year college degree with 3 or more years related experience
- Proficient in Windows and company approved software
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
- Knowledge of health department rules and regulations
- Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage employee and guest relations
- Ability to handle problems proactively
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must comply with company grooming standards

Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience or a 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- Proficient in Windows, company approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
- Able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
- Willingness to attend all required hotel meetings and training
- Ability to participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing nametags
- Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations
- Successful problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to understand and evaluate complex information and data

Job Duties
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees
- Assist in supervising all F&B personnel
- Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
- Assist in preparing the F&B budget and monitor department performance including forecasting
- Monitor industry trends and take appropriate action to maintain competitive and profitable operations
- Work with other F&B managers and keep them informed of F&B issues
- Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring attention
- Assist in coordinating and monitoring all phases of Loss Prevention in the F&B department
- Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner
- Organize and conduct department meetings regularly
- Monitor quality of service and product
- Cooperate in menu planning and preparation
- Ensure timely purchase of F&B items within budget
- Assist in overseeing operations of the employee cafeteria
- Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations
- Ensure departmental compliance with SOPs
- Ensure training of department heads on SOPs, report preparation, and technical job tasks
- Attend and/or conduct departmental and hotel training sessions
- Interview candidates for front-of-house F&B positions and follow hiring standards
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
