Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5 years of development, alumni relations, engagement, or event management experience in higher education or related fields
  • equivalent education/experience considered
  • excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • ability to manage competing deadlines
  • familiarity with alumni relations and event trends in higher education
  • experience with data-driven event assessment and CRM platforms such as T360

Job Duties

  • developing and implementing constituent engagement strategies and annual communication plans aligned with UEIS mission and advancement goals
  • collaborating with faculty, staff, and volunteer leaders to plan, manage, and execute high-impact events including logistics, sponsorships, vendor coordination, guest list management, marketing, and budget management
  • participating in strategic and long-range planning to enhance constituent relations
  • leading end-to-end programming for signature engagement events including communications, guest management, menu planning, timeline development, calendar coordination, and post-event follow-up
  • coordinating events within the university calendar and liaising with the President's Office, campus partners, and Advancement teams
  • capturing and analyzing engagement metrics, entering data into the database, and preparing progress and impact reports
  • streamlining internal event submissions and review processes
  • leading strategic messaging for engagement opportunities including invitations and marketing materials
  • identifying, recruiting, and supporting volunteers for programming and advisory councils
  • planning and coordinating nomination and selection processes for alumni recognition programs and awards
  • representing Advancement across UEIS and University groups, participating in strategic planning and committees
  • generating annual plans, event plans with marketing components, run-of-shows, and leadership briefings
  • performing other duties as assigned to further UEIS and University Advancement goals
