The Assistant Director of Dining Services position at Abilene Christian University offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the success of a vibrant dining program in a strong community setting. This role focuses on collaborating with culinary and management teams to develop and implement nutritious, high-quality food offerings that meet and exceed the expectations of clients and guests. The Assistant Director plays a critical role in maintaining excellent client relationships while managing, training, and developing associates to ensure smooth operations and excellence in service. Job Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant food service management experience
  • Experience in food service operations such as restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or health care
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills
  • Financial experience and good business acumen
  • Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office suite
  • Associate’s degree preferred but not required

Job Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of food service management experience
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Financial experience and business acumen skills
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet
  • Associate’s degree is preferred

Job Duties

  • Work with the Chef and management team in creating nutritious and top quality food
  • Implement new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams
  • Maintain excellent relationships with the client
  • Manage, train, and develop associates
  • Perform other duties as assigned
