Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent (GED)
  • experience in food service and supervising dining room staff
  • ability to speak, read and write English with good comprehension
  • basic math skills required
  • basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • considerable knowledge of principles and practices of restaurant service, health, sanitation and safety requirements
  • flexible as to work schedule including weekends, holidays and emergency situations
  • strong leadership skills
  • ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • responsible, punctual, resourceful, accurate, and detail-oriented
  • excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • empathetic listening
  • self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently and in a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent (GED)
  • experience in food service and in supervising dining room staff
  • ability to speak, read and write English with good comprehension, Spanish preferred
  • basic math skills required
  • basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • considerable knowledge of principles and practices of the restaurant service, health, sanitation and safety requirements

Job Duties

  • Scheduling and supervising dining room waiters and waitresses
  • assist with orientation and training of new waiters and waitresses
  • maintain standards for safety, sanitation, storage of food supplies and banquet supplies
  • interact courteously and tactfully with managers, co-workers, customers, vendors, residents and resident family members
  • ability to promote and execute our culture of "Yes"
