Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience including kitchen supervisory experience
- ServSafe certification and/or Food Handlers Certification, or current enrollment in the certification course preferred
- ability to work in a team environment
- strong culinary skills
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (culinary schooling preferred)
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience including kitchen supervisory experience in a hotel, senior living community, or restaurant
- ServSafe certification and/or Food Handlers Certification, or current enrollment in the certification course preferred
- associate degree in culinary arts or formal culinary training is a plus
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff supervision
- ensure high-quality food preparation following specified recipes and procedures
- maintain standards for portion control, doneness, freshness, and presentation
- prepare the daily menu in the Executive Chef's absence
- work in various dining environments, catering to different levels of care
