Job Requirements

  • Familiarity with HACCP food safety regulations
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Flexibility to stand, bend, and twist for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Good communication skills

  • At least one year of culinary experience in a busy, informal restaurant
  • Proficiency in various cooking techniques including soups, sautéing, broiling, frying, and pantry management
  • Ability to understand and follow directives and protocols
  • Effective communication skills with coworkers and patrons
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked dishes following specific recipes and instructions
  • Ensure consistency and high standards by sampling and adhering to standardized menus
  • Maintain production logs and procure necessary supplies and equipment
  • Implement and uphold food safety and sanitation standards according to HACCP
  • Operate kitchen machinery including slicers, mixers, grills, fryers, and ovens
  • Accurately measure, combine, clean, and prepare ingredients
  • Monitor stock levels, organize inventory by expiration, and rotate food stock to maintain freshness
