Job Description

Delaware North is a renowned global hospitality and food service company with a rich history dating back over a century. Headquartered in Buffalo, New York, Delaware North operates in multiple sectors including sports venues, gaming, national parks, airports, and resorts. One of its most celebrated venues is TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, an iconic sports and entertainment arena that serves as home to the Boston Bruins (NHL) and Boston Celtics (NBA). TD Garden hosts over 200 events annually and welcomes more than 3.5 million visitors each year, making it one of the most dynamic and bustling arenas in New England. Delaware North, which purchased the historic Boston Garden in 1975, continues to own and operate TD Garden along with The Hub on Causeway, providing world-class guest experiences through its concessions, catering, and hospitality operations.

This position is for an Assistant Concessions Manager role at TD Garden in Boston, a full-time employment opportunity with a competitive salary range of $47,500 to $64,100 annually. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.

The Assistant Concessions Manager plays a key role in supporting the concessions operations under the leadership team’s direction. This position involves overseeing day-to-day activities within the concessions area, primarily focusing on maintaining high standards for guest service, operational efficiency, and team performance. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with supervisors and other team members to ensure concessions run smoothly during high-traffic events while adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines. This role demands a motivated professional who is passionate about elevating the customer experience and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Responsibilities include managing staffing schedules, conducting interviews, training employees on policies and procedures, and driving initiatives that enhance both guest satisfaction and operational effectiveness.

Beyond operations management, the Assistant Concessions Manager is responsible for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning alcohol service, sanitation, payroll, and general employment laws. The role requires regular verification of sales data, cost control through inventory management, and upkeep of food and beverage equipment to guarantee operational readiness. This leadership position requires a proactive attitude, analytical skills for data-driven decision-making, and the ability to innovate and improve concession operations continuously.

The ideal candidate will bring 1 to 3 years of management or supervisory experience in the food service industry, preferably within concessions or similar settings. Strong accounting knowledge, a commitment to client and guest satisfaction, and demonstrated leadership and team-building expertise are essential. Delaware North values creativity, initiative, and the drive to positively impact both guests and colleagues. This role offers an exciting career path for individuals interested in hospitality management within a world-class sports and entertainment venue.

Delaware North invests in its team members’ growth and well-being by providing comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, parental bonding leave, and 401(k) with company matching. Support for professional development, such as tuition reimbursement, is also available, along with generous discounts at the company's hotels and resorts. Working at Delaware North is not just a job—it is joining a family-owned legacy with a global presence and numerous opportunities to advance within multiple hospitality sectors.
