The role of Assistant Concessions Manager at Delaware North Sportservice based at Climate Pledge Arena is a dynamic leadership position integral to ensuring seamless food and beverage operations across all concessions locations. This position reports directly to the Concessions Manager and focuses on supporting the team through effective management, training, and operational oversight. The Assistant Concessions Manager will manage day-to-day activities, maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, and contribute to a positive guest experience by upholding high service standards. This role requires a motivated professional who thrives on elevating guest satisfaction, fostering team collaboration, and managing the complexities of concession operations during various events, including NHL and WNBA games, concerts, and other entertainment events. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of managerial or supervisory experience in the food service industry, preferably with prior concessions experience
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, health regulations, and safety procedures with the ability to obtain ServSafe, Food Safety Handler, and Training for Intervention Procedures certifications
  • Proficient computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and point of sale systems
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Capacity to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business levels

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day operations of all concessions locations, under the guidance of the Concessions Manager
  • Assist with coordinating team members and non-profit organization groups to ensure effective collaboration and operational efficiency
  • Contribute to hiring and training new team members on company objectives, policies, and procedures to drive team performance and deliver exceptional guest service
  • Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulations governing alcohol, food service, sanitation, payroll, financial protocols, and employment practices
  • Oversee cash handling and financial reporting, reconcile discrepancies, and support inventory management
