The company is known for creating dynamic and exciting environments that serve millions of travelers every year. SSP America provides employees with opportunities for career growth within a vibrant, fast-paced industry where customer service and food quality are paramount.
The Spokane International Airport (GEG) location has recently welcomed a new addition inside the main terminal: Thomas Hammer, a specialty coffee and handcrafted beverage outlet renowned for its quality and innovation. This venue features La Marzocco espresso machines and a newly introduced self-service speed lane, representing the forefront of coffee service technology designed to enhance customer experience while maintaining rapid service. The assistant restaurant manager role at this location is full-time, hourly, with an annual salary of $65,000 and includes eligibility for performance bonuses.
As the Assistant Restaurant Manager at Thomas Hammer inside Spokane International Airport, you will take on a vital leadership role ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant, both in front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH). This role combines hands-on leadership with operational oversight, making it perfect for those who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and customer service while controlling costs and optimizing labor and inventory. This role demands a balance of strong operational acumen with a passion for hospitality and an ability to build, train, and inspire a cohesive team poised for exceptional execution.
The position involves daily oversight of all aspects of restaurant operations, from staffing and scheduling to customer service and compliance with food safety regulations. You will lead by example on the floor, coach team members for continuous improvement, and quickly troubleshoot challenges with composure and effective problem-solving skills. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership position within a globally respected company, work in a unique airport environment, and contribute to a brand dedicated to delivering innovative, high-quality coffee experiences to travelers.
SSP America values a proactive leadership style and encourages team members to take initiative in identifying operational improvements and ensuring customer satisfaction at every interaction. If you are passionate about coffee culture, food safety, and team leadership, and you enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-moving setting, this role offers an excellent platform to grow your career in the hospitality industry while earning competitive pay and experiencing comprehensive benefit coverage.
