Job Requirements

  • Some high school education
  • preferred some Operations experience
  • Food Handler certification or similar local/municipal requirements acquired at own expense
  • reliable and dependable attendance
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hot, and noisy kitchen environment
  • capability to stand for long periods
  • ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • willing to use kitchen equipment such as Chinese cook knife and wok
  • capable of reaching and lifting effectively
  • positive team player attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Some high school education
  • basic understanding of Operations practices and concepts
  • basic knowledge of recipes and cooking activities
  • ability to cook rice and chow mein and learn to cook some entrees
  • ability to learn basic Front of House (FOH) responsibilities
  • understanding of work and food safety checklists
  • knowledge of proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals

  • ability to work well in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Ensuring workability, intensity & integrity
  • performing Back of House (BOH) responsibilities as directed by Assistant Chef II and III
  • preparing rice and chow mein
  • performing cleaning and sanitizing tasks
  • operating kitchen equipment including Chinese knife and wok following proper safety guidelines
  • maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary store environment
  • assisting with Front of House (FOH) duties as needed
