Job Requirements

Some high school education
preferred some Operations experience
Food Handler certification or similar local/municipal requirements acquired at own expense
reliable and dependable attendance
ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hot, and noisy kitchen environment
capability to stand for long periods
ability to perform repetitive tasks
willing to use kitchen equipment such as Chinese cook knife and wok
capable of reaching and lifting effectively
positive team player attitude

Job Qualifications

Some high school education
basic understanding of Operations practices and concepts
basic knowledge of recipes and cooking activities
ability to cook rice and chow mein and learn to cook some entrees
ability to learn basic Front of House (FOH) responsibilities
understanding of work and food safety checklists
knowledge of proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals
commitment to embody Focus's Mission, Values, Culture, and Environment
ability to work well in a team environment
willingness to embrace change and continuous learning

Job Duties

Ensuring workability, intensity & integrity
performing Back of House (BOH) responsibilities as directed by Assistant Chef II and III
preparing rice and chow mein
performing cleaning and sanitizing tasks
operating kitchen equipment including Chinese knife and wok following proper safety guidelines
maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary store environment
assisting with Front of House (FOH) duties as needed
