Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years of experience in culinary or related operational field
- At least two years of operational management experience at a similar leadership level
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be tolerant to noise level, temperature, and air quality variations
- Ability to perform prolonged sitting and standing
- Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Good eye-hand coordination
- Ability to comply with policies, job descriptions, safety data sheets and other instructions
Job Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of catering and banquet kitchen principles and practices
- Experience meeting VIP guest requests and preparing custom menus on short notice
- Ability to write reports, purchase orders, menus and correspondences
- Experience with property management applications such as Purchasing Systems, Kronos, and HotSOS
- Experience managing collective bargaining agreement work groups
- Effective English communication skills
- Polished appearance and demeanor
- Excellent customer service skills
- Leadership and mentoring abilities
- Understanding of company rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Previous experience in catering and banquet operations preferred
- Experience in a large luxury resort setting preferred
Job Duties
- Conduct meetings and work alongside Executive Chef, Assistant Executive Chef and Front of House Management to achieve budgeted labor and cost goals
- Manage personnel for back of house staff including hiring, training, development, and corrective action
- Achieve daily sales and assigned cost targets
- Oversee inventories and ordering of food and supplies
- Assist with food preparation, station cooking, and plating when necessary
- Manage inventory, purchasing and receiving for front and back of house products
- Ensure sanitation procedures and work area organization comply with health regulations
- Develop menu standards and maintain presentation quality
- Conduct daily line-ups or pre-shift meetings
- Facilitate communication between management and team through scheduled meetings
- Enforce compliance with company guidelines and training manuals
- Implement Resorts World core values and standards
- Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing
- Use personal devices for job-related tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
