The Back of House (BOH) Team Leader plays a vital role in upholding Pacific Catch's high standards by overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring that every dish meets the company’s quality and presentation criteria. This full-time, hourly position involves working a 40-hour week with scheduled overtime, responding flexibly to business needs to maintain operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Chef, the BOH Team Leader is responsible for fostering a positive kitchen culture, managing inventory, and coordinating with front-of-house staff to create outstanding guest experiences.

This role demands a culinary professional who is not only skilled in cooking and food preparation but also passionate about team leadership and mentorship. The BOH Team Leader is tasked with training new team members, coaching existing staff, and maintaining a professional environment that aligns with Pacific Catch’s standards. The leader also plays a pivotal role in inventory control, food waste management, equipment maintenance, and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and safely.

With an hourly pay range of $22.00 to $33.00, this position offers a competitive compensation package reflective of the candidate’s experience and skills. Pacific Catch values motivated individuals who are tech-savvy and comfortable using modern tools such as Microsoft Office, Google apps, Toast POS, and HARRI for time and scheduling management. A Culinary Arts degree is preferred, but extensive experience and demonstrated leadership capacity are equally valued.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary Arts degree preferred
  • Be team focused, able to lead and motivate
  • Two years BOH management experience in a high volume, full-service restaurant
  • Technology savvy: comfortable with MS Office, Google Apps/programs, Toast POS and HARRI Time and Scheduling
  • Must possess exemplary knife skills and the ability to coach/train others
  • Demonstrated success in managing people and strong leadership skills
  • English proficient, bilingual a plus
