The Assistant Bar Manager role at Albertsons is a critical position designed to lead the bar team and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of food and drink quality and safety.   • Must maintain state Food Handler's Permit
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a bartender
  • Must maintain a current Bartender License
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions and read retain and comprehend

Job Duties

  • Oversee the daily operations of the bar including managing staff inventory and customer service
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
  • Train and supervise bartenders and other bar staff
  • Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Create a culture of food exploration innovation and education for guests and employees
  • Deliver a consistently high level customer service to each customer and maintain a safe environment by identifying any issues
  • Keep the bar area clean in accordance with the company's guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
  • Mix all drinks based on the servings sizes as outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum
  • Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar satisfied at all times
  • Uphold set standard and enforce food and drink preparations and handling ensuring compliance with company food safety policy
