This property is committed to delivering world-class hospitality, style, and superior service, making it a premier destination for travelers and local events alike. The hotel strongly focuses on a team environment where employees are valued and given the opportunity to thrive and grow in their careers.

The role of Assistant Banquets Manager at the Omaha Marriott Downtown offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the hotel’s renowned banquet and event services. Additional responsibilities include enforcing hotel policies and union contract guidelines, hiring and training staff, fostering positive employee relations, and participating in departmental and hotel-wide meetings. This leadership role demands a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the agility to work in both office and active food and beverage environments.

Ideal candidates for this position will have at least two years of banquet leadership experience, a minimum of a high school diploma (with a preferred four-year degree in hospitality), strong mathematical and financial skills related to food and beverage operations, and proficiency in Excel. Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays is essential. This role provides an opportunity to be part of a reputable brand that values its team members, offering a structured career path within Marcus Hotels & Resorts with options to transfer between properties nationwide.

The Omaha Marriott Downtown not only offers a chance to contribute to exceptional guest experiences but also provides comprehensive employee benefits, including well-balanced meals during shifts, room and dining discounts at both Marriott and Marcus properties, free parking, entertainment discounts, early wage access, paid time off, flexible scheduling, and medical, dental, and vision insurance after 30 days of employment. Additionally, employees benefit from company-paid life insurance, employee assistance programs, and a 401k plan with employer match, positioning this role as a balanced mix of career growth, work-life balance, and competitive rewards.

With a yearly salary range of 50,000 to 60,000 dollars, this position is perfect for hospitality professionals eager to take the next step in their management career while working for a highly respected hotel brand in a vibrant downtown location.
