Job Requirements

- minimum two years experience in event management or related field
- strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- assists in managing departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment
- maintains attendance log for banquet employees
- maintains and enforces established sanitation levels
- adheres to and reinforces all standards, policies, and procedures
- ensures employee awareness of Meeting Planner Survey and Guest Satisfaction Scores
- orders supplies for the department
- uses banquet beverage records to guide beverage supervisor in controlling liquor costs
- understands banquet operations impact on event success
- assists in scheduling banquet service staff
- attends and participates in meetings
- leads shifts and participates in event servicing
- applies knowledge of food and wine pairings and event presentation
- sets a positive example for guest relations
- interacts with guests for feedback
- responds to guest complaints
- empowers employees to provide excellent customer service
- strives to improve service performance
- supports departmental orientation and new hire training
- ensures employees understand expectations
- observes service behaviors and provides feedback
- reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results
- communicates and executes emergency procedures and safety training
