Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Two years retail grocery experience
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to operate bakery and deli equipment
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Possession of Food Handlers permit
  • Good communication skills
  • Dependability and reliability
  • Ability to perform housekeeping and sanitation duties
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a minimum of two years retail grocery experience
  • Have two years supervisory experience
  • Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Show an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Have good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping in the department, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
  • Be able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
  • Be able to lift and transfer trays and items up to specified weights and distances
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
  • Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
  • Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
  • Monitor incoming cases for damaged items
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product
  • Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
  • Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are also aware of and following these procedures
