Job Requirements

  • prior experience in a bakery, kitchen, or food service setting preferred
  • basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
  • ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in a bakery, kitchen, or food service setting preferred
  • basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
  • ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • culinary or baking/pastry arts certificate or degree preferred
  • experience with artisan breads, pastries, or cake decorating preferred
  • food handler's certification or willingness to obtain preferred

Job Duties

  • assist the head baker in preparing doughs, batters, fillings, and frostings according to established recipes
  • mix, shape, proof, and bake breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods
  • operate and maintain baking equipment including ovens, mixers, and proofers
  • monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistent quality
  • maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
  • follow all food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • ensure proper labeling, dating, and storage of ingredients and finished products
  • assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries
  • monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs
  • minimize waste through proper portioning and use of ingredients
  • collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
  • follow instructions from the baker and adapt to changing priorities
  • support during high-volume periods such as holidays and special events
